Wow, I never realized it has been a month since I last posted Josh’s scores. Sorry about that. He is continuing to plug away with bowling. He always seems to do better after league when he is just bowling with me than in league bowling against other kids his age. I think it is because he is the only one on his team and the other teams aren’t really good about telling each other good job or giving high fives or anything. We’ll have to get him signed on at the beginning of the season if he wants to do it again.

This last week, he bowled pretty well. He went into the night with a 75 average and bowled an 87 and a 64. THey were close games and he only lost by six pins one game and four pins the next. Really, he would have wone one of them as the computer gave one of the opponents a strike when he didn’t get one. Oh well. His Mom saw it and wasn’t going to change it (even after he told her it gave him one but he didn’t get it) and I really don’t care about score at this age. It is really about Josh getting out there and having a good time all while being a good sport.

After league, we bowled a few games. It was a lot of fun because we also had Jonah (Josh’s cousin) with us. Josh’s first game was a 102! This is his highest score ever!! He finished with a 79 and then a 74. I think Jonah has been bowling once before and none that he can remember. He had a great time and bowled a 73, 48 and a 52. It was a lot of fun because in the middle of the last game they turned off all the lights and did cosmic bowling. The kids loved it!!
